In the dark a chrysalis turns into a butterfly. In the dark a child is being fed in his mother’s womb. In the dark a seed is gaining sustenance before it breaks the surface and sprouts. The lotus too blooms from the nourishment of the muck and mire in the brackish pond. Dark and light. Yin and Yang. There is a balance. To negate one is to be left off-center. However, there is also choice. Do we choose to see the glass as half empty or half full? Too many people confuse the term darkness with an absence of light.
“I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness for it
shows me the stars.” ~ Og Mandino
